Sixty Days of Looking Unto Jesus
Theodore Monod, a Nineteenth Century French pastor, came to the United States spending three years from 1860-1863 in mission work with French Canadians settling in Illinois. After which he returned to France to take over his father’s pastorate in Paris. His little devotional classic, Looking Unto Jesus, offers a powerful remedy for a generation that is discovering how unsatisfying life can be on a diet of self help and self actualization. Joel Van Hoogen uses Monod's little classic as the starting point in disciplining ourselves to, daily, fix our eyes on our Lord.
